North Parlor

The North Parlor is the perfect setting for gatherings of up to a dozen people.

The North Parlor features detailed dentil molding, recessed window alcoves with raised panels, and an ornate fireplace mantel.

The walls of the North Parlor feature several engravings of George Washington. Though Washington traveled down Agawam’s Main Street twice, he never had the opportunity to sleep at the Captain Leonard House, as both visits predated its construction. On June 30, 1775,Washington traveled through Agawam while en route to Cambridge to take command of the Continental Army. Fourteen years later, as president,Washington passed through town on October 21, 1789, while traveling to Boston.
