South Parlor

The South Parlor is ideal for smaller, casual gatherings of up to a dozen people.

Though architecturally simpler than the North Parlor, the South Parlor is quite elegant in its own right. The South Parlor is tastefully decorated in a blue toile theme and features original wide floorboards, fireplace, carved molding, comfortable armchairs and a sofa. Several antique samplers hang on the walls.

The blue sofa was a gift of the estate of Mrs. Esther Reynolds, the longest-serving Trustee of the Captain Charles Leonard House. Esther was appointed by Mrs.Minerva Davis herself in 1945, and served the House faithfully for nearly 60 years until her death in 2003.
